This Extended Control Set replaces the stock slide lock, magazine release, and takedown lever with parts that are just a bit bigger and easier to hit—without changing how the gun fits in your holster. It’s a simple, practical upgrade for faster reloads and smoother slide manipulation, whether you’re at the range or carrying.

Install Difficulty

2 out of 5 – Easy for anyone comfortable field-stripping their Hellcat. You’ll need a small punch or a 1/16” hex key to drift out the slide lock pin, and a flathead screwdriver or punch for the takedown lever detent. No special tools required. Frequently Asked Questions

Will these controls affect holster fit?

We tested with four major US holster makers before launching. All reported no interference with retention or draw. That said, holster designs vary—if you have a tight Kydex holster with very precise molding, test fitment before carrying.

Do I need to replace the frame pins?

Only if you order the Chrome set. The Chrome set includes a matching set of chrome steel frame pins. If you order Black, you reuse the factory blued steel pins—they work perfectly.

Will the extended mag release drop mags in my pocket?

Unlikely. The .065” extension is modest, and the serrated face is positioned to avoid accidental activation. Many shooters run this daily without issues. If you’re concerned, test with your carry holster and a snap cap before live fire.
