Triggers Trigger Kits

If you’re looking to improve the trigger pull on your Smith & Wesson M&P, you’ve come to the right place. This category covers drop-in trigger kits, sear assemblies, and related aftermarket components specifically designed for the M&P platform. Whether you’re a first-time shooter wanting a lighter, crisper break or a seasoned enthusiast upgrading for competition or personal defense, these kits offer a noticeable improvement without requiring a gunsmith. Many of our customers are DIY owners who appreciate a straightforward install and a reliable, repeatable trigger feel.

These aftermarket trigger kits typically replace the factory trigger shoe, sear, and sometimes the striker block. The goal is to reduce take-up, shorten reset, and smooth out the pull weight to a consistent 4–5 pounds. For the M&P 2.0, many kits also include an improved trigger safety and a more tactile reset, making it easier to stay on target during rapid fire. The install process is straightforward—most kits require only basic hand tools and about 20 minutes of time, and we include detailed written instructions along with a link to a walkthrough video. We also back every kit with a manufacturer’s warranty, so you’re covered if anything isn’t right out of the box.

One thing we hear often is, “Will this fit my gun?” The short answer is yes—if you own a Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 (including the Compact, Full Size, and Shield Plus models), these kits are designed to drop right in. For older M&P 1.0 pistols, compatibility varies by kit, so we note that clearly on each product page. If you’re unsure, just give us a call—we’re a family-run shop and happy to walk you through it. For those with SD or SDVE models, we have a separate SD and SDVE upgrades section with similar drop-in options.

Compatibility
These trigger kits are built for the M&P 2.0 series, including the M&P9, M&P40, M&P45, and the Shield Plus. They are not compatible with SD, SDVE, or Shield 1.0 pistols without modification. Each product page lists specific model fitment, and we recommend double-checking your pistol’s generation before ordering. If you have a first-generation M&P (non-2.0), look for kits that explicitly state “M&P 1.0 compatibility” in the description.
