Factory triggers on most polymer pistols feel gritty out of the box. It is not your imagination — they are heavy (6 to 8 pounds) and have long resets that make follow-up shots slow. Do I need a gunsmith?
No for drop-in kits. Yes for Flat-Faced Forward-Set sear kits (rated 4/5 install difficulty). Each product page lists its difficulty rating.
Will this void my warranty?
It depends on your manufacturer. Most factory warranties are not voided by installing non-permanent aftermarket parts, but check your manufacturer policy.
How much pull reduction should I expect?
