If you’ve ever had a Glock® stovepipe a case or toss brass straight back at your forehead, you know how frustrating an unreliable extractor can be. This failure resistant extractor is built to solve exactly that problem. It uses a more robust claw profile and proprietary geometry to grab the case rim positively every time, so you get consistent, predictable ejection round after round. Whether you’re running hot defensive loads or light target ammo, this component helps keep your pistol running without hiccups.
Will this fit my Glock®?
This is the standard-size extractor designed for full-frame and compact Glock® models. It does not fit Slim Frame (single-stack) pistols like the G43, G43X, G48, or G42. Compatible models include:
- G17 / G17L / G34
- G19 / G19X / G45
- G22 / G24 / G31 / G35
- G20 / G21 / G29 / G30 / G40 / G41
- G26 / G27 / G33 / G39
- G17M / G19M
- G44 (.22 LR)
Note: If you have a Gen5 pistol, this extractor is a direct drop-in replacement. For Gen1–Gen4 models, you may need to swap your extractor depressor plunger and spring to the Gen5 style for best results. We stock those parts too.
Key features
- Stronger claw geometry – Holds the case rim more securely during the extraction cycle
- Proprietary internal profile – Reduces clocking and improves timing with the ejector
- Uniform ejection pattern – No more chasing brass into the next zip code or getting hit in the face
- Standard size – Same external dimensions as factory extractors, no fitting required on most models
- Drop-in installation – Swap your old extractor out in minutes
Install difficulty: 2 out of 5
You’ll need a punch (or Glock® disassembly tool), a small hammer, and about 10 minutes. Remove the slide, drift out the extractor pin, swap the extractor, and reinstall the pin. If you’re also swapping the plunger and spring, add a few more minutes. We’ve got a video showing the full process on our install page.
Frequently asked questions
Will this fix random stovepipes in my Gen3 G19?
It’s the first thing we’d try. Weak or worn extractors are a common cause of failures to extract. This component’s stronger claw and improved geometry usually clear up intermittent ejection issues. If problems persist, also check your ejector and extractor spring.
Do I need to tune or modify it?
No. This is a standard-size extractor that drops into the same channel as your factory part. No filing, sanding, or adjustment needed. Just swap it in and test.
Will it work with my aftermarket slide?
In most cases, yes. Because it uses standard external dimensions, it fits aftermarket slides that accept factory Glock® extractors. The only exception is slides machined for a specific aftermarket extractor system — check your slide’s documentation if you’re unsure.
Shipping & warranty: We ship same business day on orders placed before 2 PM Eastern. This extractor is covered by the manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If you have any issues, give us a call — we’re a real family shop and happy to help.
