Yes, it will work with a factory spring, but you’ll get the most benefit when you pair it with a reduced power hammer spring and the included return spring. That combo is what really cuts down on light strikes.

Do I need to modify my revolver to install it?

Nope. This is a direct replacement for the factory firing pin. Just remove the old one, drop this in, and reassemble. No filing, no fitting.

Does this come with the return spring?
