If you’ve been looking to run a suppressor on your M&P pistol, the biggest hangup is usually the barrel. Factory barrels aren’t threaded, so you’re stuck with loud range sessions or buying a whole new upper. This drop-in threaded barrel from Apex solves that problem cleanly. It’s machined from a premium cold hammer-forged stainless steel blank, heat-treated, and finished in black. The 1:10” twist rate stabilizes most 9mm loads well, and the 1/2-28 thread pattern matches the vast majority of pistol suppressors and compensators on the market. A thread protector with a captive O-ring is included to keep the threads safe when the can isn’t attached.

If you can field strip your M&P, you can install this barrel. Tools needed: none (maybe a punch for the LCI block if you’re removing it). Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my M&P 2.0?

Yes, for full-size and compact 2.0 models (excluding the 4” Compact). The 2.0 uses the same barrel lockup as the original M&P. Just make sure your slide doesn’t have an LCI, or be ready to remove it.

Do I need to send my slide in for fitting?

No. This is a true drop-in barrel. You do not need to fit the hood, the locking lug, or the feed ramp. Remove your factory barrel, drop this one in, reassemble. That’s it.

What thread pitch is the barrel?

1/2-28. This is the standard for 9mm suppressors (like the SilencerCo Omega 9k, Rugged Obsidian 9, Dead Air Wolfman, etc.) and most 9mm compensators. The included thread protector uses the same pitch.
