Pretty straightforward if you’ve got basic tools. You’ll need a Torx driver (T10 or T15 depending on your screws), a small torque wrench (or a good feel for 15 in-lb), and some isopropyl alcohol to clean the slide surface before installation. The mount itself fits snug, no filing or fitting needed. Just clean the slide, place the mount, torque the screws to 15 in-lb, and mount your 509T on top. If you’ve ever mounted a red dot before, this’ll take you maybe 10 minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this work with a Holosun 508T or 507C?
No. This mount is specifically cut for the 509T’s footprint. The 508T and 507C use a different mounting pattern. You’d need a separate adapter plate for those.
Do I need to use Loctite?
We recommend a small drop of blue Loctite (242 or 243) on the screws, but it’s not strictly required if you’re hitting the 15 in-lb torque spec. The screws included have a pre-applied patch, so you’re fine either way. Just don’t go over 15 in-lb or you risk stripping the threads.
Will this mount co-witness with my factory iron sights?
It depends on your 509T’s height and your slide. Most P-10 optics-ready slides have suppressor-height sights from the factory, so you’ll get a lower 1/3 co-witness. If you’ve got standard-height sights, you’ll likely see the dot above the front sight post. We always recommend test-fitting before you commit to a sight swap.
