If you shoot a CZ 75 B with a thumb safety, you already know the double-action first pull can feel like a whole different gun compared to the single-action follow-ups. This Action Enhancement Kit is built to shrink that gap down to about 2 pounds, giving you a more consistent trigger feel from shot to shot. The hammer and sear come with matching engagement surfaces machined at the factory—no polishing or stoning needed. It’s a direct drop-in replacement that smooths out the double-action stack and gives you a clean, predictable single-action break.
Will This Fit My Gun?
- CZ 75 B (thumb safety models only — does NOT fit safety-less or decocker models)
- Does not fit CZ 75 Compact, P-01, SP-01, or 97B
- Uses factory firing pin only — do NOT install an extended firing pin
Key Features
- Reduced trigger pull gap: Approximately 7 lb. double-action / 5 lb. single-action with the included carry mainspring
- Competition option: Approximately 6 lb. double-action / 4.5 lb. single-action with the competition mainspring
- No fitting required: Drop-in replacement, just swap the parts and you’re good to go
- Clean break: Apex-engineered sear and hammer engagement surfaces give you a crisp single-action break without mush
- Smooth double-action: No stacking or gritty spots through the DA stroke
Install Difficulty: 2 out of 5
This is about as straightforward as a trigger job gets. You’ll need a set of small punches, a hammer, and a bench block. If you’ve detail-stripped a CZ before, you can do this in 20 minutes. If you haven’t, watch our install video and take your time — it’s still a beginner-friendly job. No filing or fitting required.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this work in my CZ 75 B with a decocker?
No. This kit is designed for thumb safety models only. If your gun has a decocker (like the CZ 75 BD or P-01), this will not fit.
Do I need to polish anything?
Nope. The hammer and sear surfaces are already matched from Apex. Just drop them in and you’re done. If you want, you can lightly polish the trigger bar contact points, but it’s not required for the kit to work as intended.
Why can’t I use an extended firing pin?
Apex specifically recommends sticking with the factory firing pin. The reduced trigger weight doesn’t need an extended pin to be reliable, and using one could cause issues with primer strikes or safety margins. Trust the engineers on this one.
