If you shoot a CZ Shadow or Shadow 2, you know the factory trigger is good—but it can be better. This competition action enhancement kit is built to give you a noticeably smoother, lighter double-action pull followed by a crisp sub-3-pound single-action break. The matched hammer and sear work together right out of the box, so you don’t have to polish or stone anything. It’s a straightforward swap that cleans up creep and stack in the double-action stroke while giving you a clean, repeatable single-action break that’s perfect for competition or range work.

Install Difficulty: 2 out of 5
This is a simple swap for anyone comfortable taking down their CZ. You’ll need a punch set, a small hammer, and maybe a file if the thumb safety leg needs minor fitting. Expect about 30-45 minutes if you’ve done it before, a bit longer if it’s your first time. We have an install video linked on the product page to walk you through it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this work in my CZ 75B?
No, this kit is specifically for the CZ Shadow and Shadow 2 series. It won’t fit standard CZ 75B, SP-01, or P-01 frames without Shadow-specific parts.
Do I need to polish anything?
Nope. The sear and hammer surfaces are matched from the factory. Just drop them in and you’re good to go. If you want to smooth things further, you can lightly polish the trigger bar contact points, but it’s not required.
Why can’t I use an aftermarket firing pin?
This kit is designed to work with the factory firing pin and spring. Using an aftermarket pin can create safety issues like light primer strikes or unintended discharges. We recommend sticking with OEM parts here.
