Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my S&W SD40 or SD40 VE?

No. This barrel is specifically for 9mm SD9 and SD9 VE pistols only. The 40-caliber models use a different barrel profile and a different breech face. Do not try to fit it into a .40 slide.

Do I need to buy anything else to use this barrel with a suppressor?

You’ll need a 1/2-28 direct-thread suppressor mount or a 1/2-28 piston for your suppressor. If your slide has a loaded chamber indicator (LCI), you must either remove the LCI tab entirely or install the Apex No Profile LCI Block to keep the barrel from binding. No other parts are required.

Can I use this barrel without a suppressor?

Absolutely. It works fine as a standard barrel. The threaded muzzle will be exposed, but the included thread protector keeps the threads clean and protects them from damage. Many shooters use it just for the look or as a base for a compensator.
