If you’ve got a Glock MOS pistol and want to run an enclosed emitter optic like the Aimpoint Acro or Steiner MPS, you’ve probably run into the same problem: the factory MOS mounting system wasn’t really designed for those optics. The Apex Optic Mount fixes that. Will this fit my gun?
This mount is specifically for Glock pistols with the factory MOS (Modular Optic System) cut. It will not work on non-MOS slides or other optic footprints. Compatible with:

Pretty straightforward if you’ve ever mounted an optic. You’ll need a Torx driver (T15 or T20 depending on screw head), a torque wrench that reads inch-pounds, and some blue Loctite. We recommend cleaning the slide surface before installation and torquing the screws to 15 in-lb. If you’re not comfortable with that, any local gunsmith can do it in five minutes.
Frequently asked questions
Will this mount work on a non-MOS Glock?
No. This mount is designed specifically for slides with the factory Glock MOS cut. If your slide isn’t MOS, you’d need to have it milled for the Acro/MPS footprint or use a different mounting system.
Do I need to use thread locker?
We recommend it. A small dab of blue Loctite (medium strength) on the screws before torquing to 15 in-lb will help keep everything tight. Don’t use red Loctite — you’ll have a hard time getting the screws out later.
Does this mount co-witness with factory iron sights?
It depends on your optic and sight height. With the Acro P-2 and standard-height MOS sights, you’ll get a lower co-witness (about 1/3). If you want a full co-witness, you’ll likely need taller suppressor-height sights.
