If you’re running one of the new GLOCK® Gen 6 optic-ready pistols and want to mount a Holosun 509T footprint optic, you’ve probably noticed the factory slide cut doesn’t quite line up. That’s where this steel optic mount comes in. It bridges the gap between the Gen 6 slide and your 509T-series optic, giving you a rock-solid mounting surface that won’t walk loose or crack under recoil. We’ve seen too many aluminum mounts fail after a few thousand rounds — the rails tear right off. This mount is machined from billet steel and black PVD coated, so it holds up to the 3000g of acceleration a 9mm slide sees every shot.

Easy if you’re comfortable with a torque driver. You’ll need a #2 Phillips bit and a torque wrench or driver set to 15 in-lb. Clean the slide with rubbing alcohol or degreaser, place the damper in the front cavity, set the mount, and torque the screws. No fitting required.
Frequently asked questions
Does this mount work with the Holosun 509T with the factory screws?
Yes — the mount uses the two included 4mm x 0.7 screws. We recommend using the supplied hardware rather than the optic’s screws, as the pre-applied thread locker is matched to the mount’s steel threads.
Will this mount fit a Gen 5 slide?
No. The Gen 6 optic cut is different from the Gen 5 MOS pattern. This mount is specifically shaped and keyed for the Gen 6 slide. For Gen 5, you’ll need a different adapter plate.
Why steel instead of aluminum? Isn’t steel heavier?
Yes, steel adds a few grams, but it won’t fail like aluminum. We tested 6061 and 7075 aluminum mounts and saw the rails tear off after a few thousand rounds. Steel handles the 3000g acceleration per shot without fatigue. For a carry or competition gun, reliability is worth the small weight trade-off.
