Easy to moderate. You’ll need a Torx T10 driver and a torque wrench (inch-pounds) to tighten the screws to 15 in-lb. We recommend cleaning the slide surface before installation to ensure a solid fit. Frequently asked questions
Will this mount work on my M&P Shield C.O.R.E.?
No. This mount is designed specifically for full-size and compact M&P Classic and M2.0 C.O.R.E. slides. The Shield uses a different slide profile and mounting pattern.
Do I need to use thread locker on the screws?
The included screws are designed to be torqued to 15 in-lb. We recommend using a light application of blue Loctite (medium strength) on the screws to prevent them from backing out under recoil. Let the Loctite cure for 24 hours before live-firing.
Can I co-witness with my factory iron sights?
That depends on your optic and sight height. With the Acro or MPS mounted on this plate, most factory-height sights will give you a lower 1/3 co-witness. If you want a full co-witness, you may need taller aftermarket sights. Check your specific optic height and sight setup.
